DownRiver Collective Releases Highly Anticipated Full-Length Album GIVE IT ALL AWAY
NASHVILLE, TN (September 5, 2025) — Award-winning bluegrass innovators DownRiver Collective proudly release their debut full-length album, GIVE IT ALL AWAY, available everywhere today. The reigning 2024 IBMA Momentum Band Award recipients have already built anticipation with two singles and unveiled their third radio focus track, “Catch Me If You Can,” yesterday during an exclusive world premiere on SiriusXM Bluegrass Junction with host Joey Black.
Written collaboratively by the entire band, “Catch Me If You Can” marks another milestone in DownRiver Collective’s growing catalog of original material, showcasing their unique ability to blend creativity, energy, and soul into every note.
The new album shines with both raw power and heartfelt artistry. Twelve tracks with highlights including:
- “Come On Back” featuring Grammy-winner Dan Tyminski on harmony vocals.
- “Words Of Wisdom (Bai’s Song)” with the unmistakable voice of Sonya Isaacs.
- A fiery, high-octane rendition of the bluegrass classic “Muleskinner Blues (Blue Yodel No. 8)”, sure to leave listeners breathless.

DownRiver Collective has been on an exciting journey leading up to this release. They celebrated last night with a sold out album release show at the legendary Station Inn in Nashville, and are set to perform at IBMA Live in Chattanooga on Friday, September 19. Earlier this year, the group also captured top honors at the prestigious FreshGrass Band Contest in Bentonville, Arkansas, earning a coveted recording session with Compass Records.

Nashville-based DownRiver Collective formed as a three-piece folk group in 2018 with founding members banjoist John Gray and fiddler Bailey Warren (2024 IBMA Momentum Instrumentalist nominee). Since then, they’ve been joined by vocalist Ali Vance (2024 IBMA Momentum Vocalist nominee), mandolinist Rico Wallenda, and guitarist Jonny Therrien. All members are Belmont University alumni, and while not everyone comes from a bluegrass background, they share a deep love and respect for the genre.
Blurring the lines between traditional folk and progressive acoustic music, DownRiver Collective draws on the diverse backgrounds of its members to craft a sound that is both fresh and familiar. Their original music carries a raw, unfiltered truth, delivered with fiery passion yet composed ease, making it nearly impossible to stop listening.
