Common Loon Records Announces Debut Single from Dan Eubanks: “Rust Belt Town”
DOTHAN, AL (October 31, 2025) — Common Loon Records is pleased to announce the release of “Rust Belt Town,” the debut, title track single from acclaimed bassist, singer, and songwriter Dan Eubanks, available worldwide today.
“Rust Belt Town” straddles the line between bluegrass and Americana—blending vivid, working-class storytelling with Eubanks’ signature musical sensibility. The insightful new track includes Michael Prewitt on mandolin and harmony vocals, Aaron Bibelhauser on Dobro and harmony vocals, Jeff Guernsey on fiddle, and features Eubanks on bass, acoustic guitar, and lead vocals.

The song paints an intimate portrait of America’s industrial heartland, the factory towns that built the nation and the people there who weathered the decline and are still feeling its effects. It’s a song about inheritance, resilience, and dealing with the past.
“The song is told from the viewpoint of my generation coming to terms with what our fathers’ generation went through as blue-collar people in the Midwest and elsewhere,” says Eubanks. “Often the path was through the military to factory jobs, and in the ’60s and ’70s that meant Vietnam and the failure of U.S. manufacturing, causing massive cultural, financial, and less obvious forms of damage to people that grew up in factory towns like I did. We were the last of that line, and we are still picking up the pieces.”
With “Rust Belt Town,” Eubanks channels those reflections into a sound that's soulful and honest. His top-notch singing, playing, and songwriting are supported by a stellar ensemble that is able to handle both the instrumental complexity and emotional depth of the piece.
“Rust Belt Town” is the lead single from Eubanks’ forthcoming album on Common Loon Records, marking a new chapter in his evolution as a solo artist. It is available today worldwide via popular online distributors and radio can contact the Common Loon Records radio team for a direct Wav or MP3 download link, here.
