Power-packed with a tremendous lineup of well respected musicians, songwriters, and studio professionals behind him, the highly anticipated solo project from Mike Bentley officially drops worldwide tomorrow, November 1st.
Already receiving high acclaim from bluegrass radio since it's release on AirPlay Direct last week, ALL I'VE GOT, on Union House Records, is a true testament to what it means for an artist to lay it on the line, show he means business, and put his fingerprint on the bluegrass industry.
The current single, "Someone Else", features a duet with popular female vocalist Charli Robertson of Flatt Lonesome, with a tender and perfectly placed harmony vocal from Ronnie Bowman, The star power alone between these three is enough to leave you awestruck, and then you listen to the song.
"I think we found the perfect artist for this song. Mike has been one of my favorite vocalists for a long time..." Wayne Taylor, writer of Someone Else
The entire CD is compiled of a tasteful blend of song choices that Mike and his Producer, mega-mandolin player, Alan Bibey, came up with together, in an effort to appeal to a broad range of listeners. The studio musicians include, Bibey on mandolin, Wyatt Rice on guitar, Justin Jenkins on banjo, Rob Ickes on Dobro, Shawn Lane on fiddle, Jason Moore on Bass and Rod Smith on banjo on one track. I don't know about you, but this is already a record I want to hear.
Add to this, the incredible Ronnie Bowman, Shawn Lane, and Greg Luck, all extending flawless harmonies, lifting up Mike's smooth and silky lead that clearly puts him in an elite class of male vocalists in the bluegrass genre.
"There is such a variety of material on here....I've been a fan of Mike's singing for a long while now....Mike is the real deal!" - Alan Bibey
ALL I'VE GOT is available on AirPlay Direct for DJ's and radio programmers and on Mike's website for purchase. I encourage everyone to add this one to their collection and to the collections of everyone you know at Christmas time as well.
