NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 20, 2026) — Celebrated singer, songwriter, and guitarist Eddie Sanders unveils his long-anticipated Gospel project, I’m A Jesus Man, arriving worldwide Friday, February 20 via True Lonesome Records. The 13-song collection draws deeply from Sanders’ lifelong connection to bluegrass while offering a personal and faith-centered body of work rooted in tradition, storytelling, and seasoned musicianship.

Bringing together original material and carefully selected songs, I’m A Jesus Man reflects Sanders’ journey both on and off the stage. With a delivery shaped by decades in bluegrass and country music, he presents a record that balances conviction, warmth, and musical integrity, anchored in the classic sounds of acoustic instrumentation and rich vocal blend.

The album features current single, the standout track “Calling Me,” a spirited collaboration with Larry Cordle, John Cowan, and Shawn Camp. The performance showcases four distinctive voices exchanging lead lines in an engaging, back-and-forth style, highlighting the camaraderie and shared musical heritage of the artists involved. Alongside it, previously released single “Up To Gloryland” further sets the tone for a project that honors Gospel traditions while maintaining a fresh and inviting sound.

A native of McAlester, Oklahoma, Sanders was immersed in bluegrass music from an early age. His father, Freddie Sanders, was a renowned promoter whose Sanders Family Bluegrass Festival became a cornerstone event in the region, welcoming legendary artists such as Bill Monroe, The Osborne Brothers, Ralph Stanley, Jim & Jesse, and The Lewis Family. Growing up surrounded by those performances instilled in Sanders a deep respect for the craft, the audience, and the enduring power of a well-written song.

Drawing inspiration from artists including Mac Wiseman, Larry Sparks, and The Osborne Brothers, along with country greats Merle Haggard and Gene Watson, Sanders developed a style that honors the past while remaining grounded in authentic expression. His time as guitarist and lead vocalist for the acclaimed band Signal Mountain further established his reputation as both a performer and collaborator, working alongside musicians such as Shawn Camp, Dennis Crouch, Billy Joe Foster, and Tim Crouch.

Sanders’ songwriting has led to collaborations throughout Nashville with writers and musicians including Shawn Camp, Ronnie Bowman, Glen Duncan, and others. His work has been recorded by The Del McCoury Band, including the song “You Could Be Me,” as well as by Kix Brooks and Wayne Toups, who cut the Sanders and Camp co-write “Down Where the River Ends.”

With I’m A Jesus Man, Sanders presents a project that reflects both his musical roots and personal faith. Rather than stepping away from his bluegrass foundation, the album builds upon it, offering a cohesive collection that speaks to tradition, experience, and the stories that have shaped his life.

Early response to the album highlights its impact:

“For longtime bluegrass fans, the album feels like a reaffirmation of what the music has always done best. For new listeners, it serves as a welcoming doorway into a tradition still very much alive. Eddie Sanders doesn’t just sing these songs — he inhabits them, and that makes I’m a Jesus Man a quietly powerful and deeply rewarding listen.” — Medium Magazine

“‘Calling Me’ – Toe-tapping bluegrass gospel with an all-star cast. Everybody gets a shot at a lead vocal, and listening for each of my favorites was fun. The arrangement is banjo dominant, but there’s plenty of slippery fiddling, too.” — Music Row Magazine

“With I’m a Jesus Man, Eddie Sanders delivers a gospel album that feels less like a career pivot and more like a homecoming. Rooted deeply in bluegrass tradition yet buoyed by warmth, wit, and lived experience, the record stands as a confident, joyful statement from an artist who has spent a lifetime inside the music — not observing it from the sidelines, but shaping it.” — Hollywood Digest
