(January 30, 2026) — Acclaimed singer-songwriter, Eddie Sanders announces the release of his new collaborative Bluegrass Gospel single, “Calling Me,” featuring an extraordinary lineup of legacy voices and fellow songwriters: Larry Cordle, John Cowan, and Shawn Camp. Released via True Lonesome Records, the song marks the second single from Sanders’ forthcoming full-length Gospel album, I’m a Jesus Man.

Written by Sanders, “Calling Me” is a joyful, clever, and heartfelt Gospel song that blends wit, testimony, and timeless vocal delivery by all the gents. The four veteran singer-songwriters trade lead vocals throughout the track, creating a conversational and spirited performance rooted in decades of shared musical history. The result is a Gospel recording that feels respectful without being heavy, joyful without being slick, and deeply grounded in tradition.

Eddie Sanders is a world-class singer, songwriter, and performer from McAlester, Oklahoma, born into southwest bluegrass royalty. His father, Freddie Sanders, was a legendary bluegrass festival and concert promoter, and the Sanders Family Bluegrass Festival became one of the most influential bluegrass gatherings west of the Mississippi. The festival hosted icons including Bill Monroe, The Osborne Brothers, Ralph Stanley, Jim & Jesse, The Lewis Family, and nearly every major bluegrass act of the last 40 years. Growing up in that environment instilled in Sanders a lifelong admiration for great songs, professionalism, and original material.

Influenced by bluegrass pioneers Mac Wiseman, Larry Sparks, and The Osborne Brothers, as well as country legends Merle Haggard and Gene Watson, Sanders developed a songwriting voice rooted in tradition while embracing honest storytelling. He later served as guitarist and lead vocalist for the widely acclaimed band Signal Mountain, whose lineup included Shawn Camp, Dennis Crouch, Billy Joe Foster, Tim Crouch, and other respected southwest bluegrass figures.

Sanders’ songwriting has led to numerous Nashville collaborations with Shawn Camp, Ronnie Bowman, Dennis and Tim Crouch, Glen Duncan, and many others. His songs have been recorded by many of his heroes in the industry.

Eddie’s work, both as a singer and a songwriter, combines the best elements of the old and the new. With a family tradition steeped in the history of bluegrass music, and influenced by the best of what has come along since, Eddie Sanders’ new recorded songs are a powerful statement of what the best bluegrass music has always been, and what the best bluegrass music will be in years to come.
